On Friday, October 16 the Attic Gallery in downtown Vicksburg begins a new series of Art exhibitions/gallery talks they are calling "Artists in the Living Room." The first featured artist will be Jamie Tate , a painter from Stoneville in the Mississippi Delta. The exhibition begins at 7 PM and Tate will be speaking at about 8. "We are trying a new approach to how we host a show," Lesley Silver, owner of the Attic said. "We wanted to personalize the art even more, so that all in attendance make the connection that has always been so important to me: The paintings are not products or decorations; they are art created by the hand and mind of an artist. I think of her paintings as emotional, nonobjective landscapes of the Mississippi Delta.
